These marks were not only decorative, but carried medicine, protection, devotion, and transformation. They were sacred inscriptions of identity, wisdom, and initiation.

The Ceremony

Intention is the starting point for each tattoo.

Together we start with a heart-to-heart conversation about what’s alive for you in the moment. From here the process unfolds organically. Each design is hand-drawn directly onto the body. This is a meditative, co-creative journey where you are invited to drop into your inherent body wisdom and intuition. 

No stencils. No computers. No pre-made designs. Everything is created by hand in the moment through deep listening, grounded awareness, and silent presence. You may arrive with a clear idea, a symbol, or simply a feeling that speaks to you. Together we uncover the authentic medicine that wants to come through and take form.

Every ceremony is unique and attuned to the individual receiving it. Depending on the nature of the session, ceremonial elements may be woven into the experience, including sacred smoke, breathwork, oracle guidance, meditation, plant allies, or other practices that support you in receiving your tattoo.

I deeply honor tattooing as a sacred art.

It is slow, intentional and created in direct relation to your body, your story and your inner world.

The result is a deeply personal adornment that lives with you. As a mark of your inner and outer beauty, but also as a living amulet and sacred anchor.

I am deeply inspired by women's tattoo traditions throughout history.

Across cultures, tattooing has often been held as a feminine practice: a spiritual art created by and for women to honour life's cycles and significant thresholds. Tattoos were used to mark fertility and first menses, moon cycles, marriage, childbirth, menopause, devotion, protection, and the journey into the afterlife. These traditions were often passed from mother to daughter, carrying ancestral wisdom through generations.

Rooted in this ancient remembrance, the Priestess Tattoo Rite was born.

This offering is created for women who desire a stronger ceremonial container for profound thresholds and transformations.

Every ceremony is unique, personally attuned, and shaped in service of what is ready to be acknowledged, honored, and embodied.

Whether marking a transition, devotion, reclamation, or moment of becoming, the tattoo becomes part of a larger rite of passage.

The Rite

Each Priestess Tattoo Rite is held as a private ceremonial container and personally attuned to the woman receiving it. We begin by arriving in the body, clarifying your intention, and creating space for what is ready to be acknowledged and marked. From there, the design is drawn directly onto the skin and the tattoo becomes part of the ceremony itself.

Depending on your intention and personal process, ritual elements may be woven into the experience, including:

  • Blue Lotus tea ceremony
  • Sacred smoke cleansing and blessing
  • Rose oil annointment
  • Guided meditation and/or embodiment practices
  • Breathwork, guided meditation and/or voice work
  • Oracle card reflection
  • White Rose hapé (only if mutually aligned)

Every rite is unique. These elements are never forced, but offered in service of the moment and the threshold being honoured.

We close with integration, aftercare, and space to land gently before returning to the world carrying your marking as a living reminder of what has been acknowledged, embodied, and anchored within.

Although the Priestess Tattoo Rite took shape during my pilgrimage through Egypt in 2024 and 2025, its roots reach much further back. Over the years, my path gradually moved away from conventional tattooing and toward a deeper exploration of tattooing as ceremony, remembrance, and embodied transformation.

In 2022, I put down my electric tattoo machine and devoted myself fully to the art of handpoke tattooing. The slower pace, direct connection to the body, and intuitive flow of the process felt like a return to something natural, sacred and ancient.

While offering Sacred Tattoo Ceremonies at the Pyramids of Giza in 2025, many pieces of the puzzle came together. Through my studies of women's tattoo traditions, womb awakening and the tattooed priestess Amunet, a devotee of Hathor, the vision for the Priestess Tattoo Rite became clear.

What had been unfolding for years finally found its name...

I am Lotte. Ceremonial tattooer, artist, and channel for transformational frequency. I’ve been practicing tattoo arts professionally for almost two decades. And over years of initiatory work I developed this form of handpoke tattooing as devotional (priestess) art. Rooted in lineage, ritual, and presence.
