Soulful adornments for your body temple...
Handpoke tattoos created from holistic practice. Personally and intuitively designed for you, directly on the body. These are soul codes and can activate deeper layers of your inner being and support you on your soul journey.
Holistic:
We are multidimensional beings. Our essence extends way beyond the physical body... The tattoos we wear on our skin deserve the utmost attention, care, integrity, attunement and intention!
I combine up to 20 years of experience, study and practice in the professional tattoo arts with ancient knowledge about traditional healing, psychology, somatics, mediumship, shamanism and energy work.
These tattoos are made all by hand in a meditative ceremony. Inviting you to deeply connect in the moment. To yourself, your body and Spirit...
You are the Universe wrapped in skin.
The design:
The design for your tattoo is directly drawn on your body in the flow of the moment. As I attune to your energy field and personal intention, I open myself up as a vessel to receive your design. This is a meditative and co-creative journey.
Each person is unique, as is each session. It can be a mystical moment where the boundaries of time and space can disappear.
The session:
When the design is completed we will talk about what came up (visions, insights, energy, etc.) and you receive the meaning of your personal design. After that, we are ready to directly mark it into an eternal tattoo on the skin...
Receiving your tattoo can be a relaxing experience. My experience with handpoke tattooing in comparison to machine tattoos is that it relaxes the nervous system, making it possible to deeply surrender, let go of old energy and receive dream like visions.
It's a great honor for me to hold space for this experience!
My story:
Tattooing came naturally to me. Since I was a teenager, my mother had a tattoo studio at home and I was involved to the entire process. When I was 19, I held a tattoo machine for the first time and it wasn’t until I was 25 (in 2015) that I decided to dedicate myself full-time to this art form. After a few years, my spiritual path deepened and I looked for ways to integrate that awareness with the work I made.
I have always been drawn to indigenous tattoo cultures and it felt like a great loss that European tattoo traditions are no longer practiced. Deep down, I always knew that getting and receiving tattoos is a sacred process...
During these years I studied, practiced and experimented a lot, searching for my unique form and medicine. For my personal healing I was working with indigenous plant medicine, ceremony, energy work, soul retrieval and many other healing modalities. I found out that the oldest tattooed mummy was found in the European Alps and research suggests that these tattoos had medical purposes. I am very intrigued by this and have been studying the link between chronic pain and tattoos for years. I'm convinced that tattoos (when practiced correctly) can play a major role in healing by restoring the natural and healthy connection between the body and the mind.
It's obvious that European tribal cultures practiced tattooing (for example the Picts) and that this completely shifted during Roman times.
Definitely linked to the Medieval Witch Hunts, many indigenous European traditions (such as tattooing) have been demonized. The Romans have used tattoos as a form of punishment; to mark thieves, slaves, prostitutes, and such. I believe this is where a lot of our roots to Mother Nature and Spirit (and thus ourselves) have been collectively cut off. And where many people have been conditioned in how they view tattoos.
I've experienced many people reclaiming their body and identity by the choice of getting a tattoo and it's beautiful to witness! As humans, but especially as women we have been disconnected to our body by many years of trauma and we are now living in a time of major shifts and transformation. These tattoo sessions can support in this proces and can be a restoration and reclaiming of our own sovereignty...
During my many years of experience in the tattoo arts I have held space for beautiful tattoo sessions. Every person is unique and it's my pleasure to create a safe space for everyone. I have worked with people from different backgrounds and needs. For example disabilities, autism, ptsd, panic attacks and chronic illness. And through the art of tattooing I've had the honor to support many souls during the transformational cycles of life and death.
When I read about the tattooed mummy of Amunet from Egypt, some pieces of the puzzle fell into place. Amunet is a female mummy and she was most likely a priestess of the goddess Hathor. I was fascinated and immediately felt a connection. Something clicked for me.
Hathor is the mother of the Gods in ancient Egypt. She is a celestial cow Goddess of love, beauty, music, sexuality, motherhood and fertility. She is a protector and guide in the afterlife and she is a symbol of awakened womb consciousness.
In 2022, a deep soul process unfolded where I had no choice but to put my electric tattoo machine aside for my handpoke tool, made of cow horn. I let go of my perfection and worked purely on feeling and intuition. Putting all my practice together and creating powerful tattoo sessions.
From that moment on, the form in which I am allowed to flow was born...
