Ancient Union was begun at the foot of the Pyramids of Giza and completed in Luxor during my pilgrimage through Egypt.

Created during a period of deep reflection on polarity, relationship, and the meeting of opposites, this painting explores the mystery of union through sacred geometry, Egyptian symbolism, and the language of the heart.

At its center rests the Flower of Life, an ancient geometric symbol representing interconnectedness, creation, and the underlying harmony woven through existence. The mirrored Eyes evoke witnessing, reflection, and the dance between complementary forces. Roses bloom above as symbols of love, devotion, and the soft unfolding of the heart, while the serpentine forms below hint at transformation and life force energy.

For me, this painting became a contemplation on union—not as perfection or sameness, but as the willingness to meet both light and shadow with greater awareness. A remembrance that harmony is not something we find outside ourselves, but something we cultivate within.

A reflection on polarity, love, and the ancient wisdom that emerges when opposites learn to coexist.
