This painting came through during the Lion's Gate portal of 2019.

At the time, I had never heard of the ancient Egyptian New Year or the significance of the Lion's Gate. I had intended to paint something entirely different, but somewhere along the way I surrendered the plan and followed intuition instead.

The result surprised me.

The Great Pyramids, their alignment with Orion's Belt, the white lotus, and the figure emerging as a living gateway all found their way onto the canvas long before I understood why.

Only afterwards did I begin studying the symbolism and discover how deeply these elements resonated with the Lion's Gate tradition.

To me, this painting carries a simple yet profound remembrance:

The portal is not outside of us. We are the portal.

A reminder that every threshold begins within, and that true transformation happens when we choose to step through with presence, courage, and an open heart.

May this artwork serve as an invitation to remember the gateway that has always lived inside you.
